Frequently asked questions.

What is the camp tuition and camp hours, and what age children do you accept?

Camp tuition is $575/week. The standard hours are Monday-Friday (Mon 8:30AM-4PM, Tu-Fri 9AM-4PM). We do offer an extended care option - for early morning drop-off and late afternoon pick-up. The cost is $10/day for an individual option, or $20/day for both. Our program is geared toward girls and boys between the ages of 6-12.

May my camper be placed in the same group as a friend?

Our campers are grouped by age and ability, and we therefore cannot guarantee that they will be placed in the same group as a friend. This is for the safety of all riders.

What should my camper bring to camp?

Please click here to see our “Camp Reminders / What to Bring” page.

Where may I purchase a helmet and other riding equipment for my camper?

We recommend that you purchase your equipment at the Austin location of Dover Saddlery.

My camper was waitlisted at registration, what does this mean?

If we have a cancellation for your waitlisted week we will reach out to you by text and email, according to your place on our list.

How many campers are in each group, and how many group leaders are there?

When riding, we limit our group size to 4 campers. When participating in other camp activities, we may have groups of up to 8 campers. Each group is led by an adult supervisor, typically accompanied by a senior counselor and junior counselor.

What are the check-in and check-out procedures for camp?

Parents accompany campers to our welcome table near the parking lot to sign in each morning. Campers are then guided to the Camp House where they find their cubby for their backpack and belongings. At the end of the day parents sign out their camper and we call them down individually from the outdoor activity lawn behind the camp house.

I can’t pick up my camper, can I have a friend pick them up for me?

Yes, absolutely! Just let us know at check in so that we can make a note for our staff.

Are snacks and water provided by the camp?

We ask that you send a water bottle, two snacks and a lunch with your camper. For more information on what to bring, please click here.

What is your medication policy?

Please place any medication in a plastic bag and give to camp staff on Monday of camp with any instructions regarding refrigeration. Be sure to have your child pick up medication at the end of the camp week.

My child has a mild disability/is on the spectrum. Is your camp a good fit?

Equine-assisted therapeutic riding can be tremendously beneficial for children with a variety of physical and emotional needs. As a competitive hunter/jumper show barn and camp, our instructors and horses do not have the highly specialized training required for these programs. However, a quick google search will help you find many excellent options in the area.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Full payment is required to reserve camp space and is non-refundable. Deposits not accepted. If you cancel more than 7 days before the 1st day of camp and we fill your spot, you will receive a refund of the camp cost minus a $125 fee.
