Glenn and Phoebe lead a team of instructors, who have up to 25 years of experience each and have produced many award winners at the local, state, and national levels.

Beverly has been teaching at Switch Willo Stables since the 1970s and specializes in teaching adults in both the lesson and boarder programs.

Caroline Langley

Caroline Langley

Having taught for over 20 years she enjoys bringing along young riders in the Switch Willo lesson program and helping out in the extensive boarder program. She stays involved by serving on the board of the local horse show association, Central Texas Hunter Jumper Association (CTHJA).

Colleen Goodman

Colleen Goodman

Colleen is our lesson program manager and has been with Switch Willo for 37 years. She started out at Switch Willo as a lesson student in 1973.

Genie Effland

Genie Effland

Genie Effland has ridden at SWS since 1990 and began teaching with us in 2004. Her son, Matthew (pictured), never rode, but has been her ground crew since 2005. In the summer, Genie teaches Western riding at a Christian summer camp in the Austin area. She loves bringing the joy of horsemanship to all of her students.

Janine Rosen

Janine Rosen

Born and raised in New Zealand, Janine started her riding career with New Zealand Olympic Training Squad coach Jenny Young, which is where she developed her love for dressage. She has represented her hometown in dressage, eventing, games, and quadrille as a member of Nelson Pony Club. Janine is an accredited New Zealand Pony Club Association instructor, and has run several annual breeders shows for the Nelson Horse and Pony Breeders Association. She moved to Austin in 2002, and is now the Camp Director and an instructor at Switch Willo Stables.
